I’m “Hooked” on MeganMonster… My buddy Candace sent me a link to a story hosted on the Nsync Fiction Archives by MeganMonster called “Hooked”. The story deals with two people are caught up in a life of addiction…Not only to drugs but to each other. Here’s a brief description:

It’s a love/hate thing now, the two of them. They get strung out on each other, just like they get strung out on the drugs. Sometimes they don’t see each other for days or weeks, but she always comes back. And he’s always waiting. He loves her because she needs it, and she loves him because he has it. But he hates her for keeping him tied to the business, and she hates him for getting her Hooked.

I didn’t think I would even like this story cause Megan went and decided to make Justin into a dope fiend (lol), but as I kept reading I kept liking this story more and more. The story itself is very well written and her use of imagery is incredible. Just as she is about to describe a certain look on character gave to the other, their touch, their body language and personality…You can already see it in your mind. This is type of fiction that I love cause I feel like I’m right there with these characters. If you haven’t had a chance to check it out, I HIGHLY recommend taking an hour out and reading a few chapters. I guarantee that you will be “Hooked.”

Bloodline At least once a week I am going to try and review some fanfiction for you guys. I have been slacking lately due to the fact that I can’t stop reading long enough to review LOL! In this weeks edition, we are reviewing MusicMel’s gem of a story called “Bloodline.” The story revolves around Ms. Arabella Kinsey, who is pretty much a prisoner of her own last name. Being a Kinsey means that she is compelled to follow in the footsteps of her family of doctors. When it comes to things like love and marriage, those are also decided upon by her bloodline.  A chance encounter with Justin Timberlake will set the wheels in motion and Arabella will find herself struggling with her loyalty to her family and her loyalty to herself.  Will she follow her heart or will she forever be trapped by her bloodline? Here is one of my favorite bits of dialogue from this story:

“My family would never approve of me not marrying him.” “Sometimes families have to be tested and sometimes they fail. But at the end of everything you have to be the one to live your life. You are the one that has to wake up in this life every morning.” “Only if it were that simple.” I say under my breathe.
